Dwell House began with a simple prayer from Psalm 27:4: “One thing…” — a desire to dwell in the presence of the Lord and help others do the same.
What began as a prayer in our own hearts during our season as full-time missionaries in New York City eventually grew into Dwell House — a ministry devoted to prayer, worship, and helping others build their lives around Jesus.
Through changing seasons, cities, ministry, raising our boys, and whatever adventures are ahead, the heart has remained the same: we want to know Jesus, welcome His presence into our everyday lives, and help others do the same.
Today, we're prayerfully working toward opening a house of prayer for our community — a place where people can come to seek Jesus, gather in worship, and find a spiritual well for their city.
We're John and Brooke, and along with our boys, we're learning what it looks like to build our lives around that one desire — not perfectly, but intentionally.
Dwell House isn't just a place to us anymore. It's a way of life.
