We believe some of the deepest encounters your family will ever have with Jesus may happen around your own table.
Not beneath stage lights or during a conference. Not even inside a church building.
But at home.
Around the table where you eat breakfast. In the kitchen where lunches are packed. In the room where arguments happen, tears are shed, laughter erupts, homework gets finished, apologies are made, and ordinary life unfolds.
Jesus desires to meet us there.
For generations, homes have often become places of hiddenness. We learn how to close doors, hide pain, conceal sin, carry resentment, and pretend everything is okay. But the presence of Jesus transforms hidden places into holy places.
Communion brings us back to the center.
His body. His blood. His sacrifice. His forgiveness. His presence.
When Jesus gathered His disciples around a table, He took bread and said, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” Then He took the cup and spoke of the new covenant in His blood.
He gave them something extraordinarily simple by which they would continually remember Him.
Bread. A cup. A table. And Jesus at the center.
For the next 31 days, we want to invite your family to make room for Jesus around your table.
Every evening, you will read a passage of Scripture, consider a simple thought together, make space for reflection and repentance, pray, and receive communion as a family.
Some evenings may take ten minutes. Others may turn into conversations you never expected to have with your children. There may be nights when someone needs to apologize. Nights when someone begins to cry. Nights filled with laughter and gratitude. Nights when your children ask questions you don't know how to answer.
The goal isn't to complete 31 perfect family devotionals. The goal is Jesus.
We want our children to grow up with memories of a home filled with His presence. We want the smell of dinner, the sound of family around a table, and the breaking of bread to remind them that Jesus was not simply Someone we visited on Sundays.
He lived here. He was welcomed here.
We talked about Him here.
We repented here. We forgave one another here.
We prayed here.
We remembered His body and blood here.
This home belonged to Jesus.
As we intentionally draw near to Him, Scripture gives us this beautiful promise: “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.” (James 4:8)
So for 31 days, we're going to draw near.
We're going to bring what has been hidden into the light.
We're going to remember the cross.
We're going to receive grace again.
We're going to gather our families around the table and make Jesus the center.
And our prayer is that long after these 31 days are finished, the table will remain a place where your family knows:
Jesus meets us here.
THE TABLE
31 Days of Communion in Your Home
DAY 1 — REMEMBER ME
Scripture
Luke 22:19
“And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is My body given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.’”
Thought
Jesus knew we would need to remember.
Life gets loud. Our schedules fill up. Our minds wander. Even the things that matter most can slowly move to the edges.
So Jesus gave His disciples something beautifully simple: bread and a cup.
Tonight, as we begin these 31 days, we are putting Jesus back at the center of our table.
We remember that He came for us. He gave Himself for us. He died for us. He rose again. And He is with us now.
Reflect
What has been taking most of our attention lately?
Is there anything that has become more important to us than Jesus?
Take a quiet moment and simply turn your attention back to Him.
Pray
Jesus, we remember You tonight. Forgive us for the ways we have allowed other things to take Your place. Be the center of our lives and the center of our home. Amen.
Receive
Take the bread together.
His body was given for us.
Take the cup together.
His blood was poured out for us.
Jesus, we remember You.
DAY 2 — THIS IS MY BODY
Scripture
Luke 22:19
“This is my body given for you.”
Thought
Jesus didn't only tell us that He loved us.
He gave Himself.
His body reminds us that the love of God isn't distant or abstract. Jesus stepped into our world. He experienced hunger, exhaustion, pain, rejection, and suffering.
And ultimately, He willingly gave His body for us.
Tonight we remember a Savior who held nothing back.
Reflect
What does it mean to you that Jesus gave Himself for you?
Is there anything you're holding back from Him?
Pray
Jesus, thank You for giving Yourself completely for us. Teach us to trust You with every part of our lives. We give ourselves again to You tonight. Amen.
Receive
Take the bread.
Jesus, thank You for Your body, given for us.
Take the cup.
Jesus, thank You for loving us completely.
DAY 3 — THIS IS MY BLOOD
Scripture
Matthew 26:27–28
“Then he took a cup... ‘This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.’”
Thought
The cup tells us something wonderful:
We can be forgiven.
Our sin does not have to remain hidden. We don't have to pretend we haven't failed. Jesus already knows—and He has made a way for us to come home.
His blood was poured out for the forgiveness of sin.
So tonight we don't hide.
We come to Jesus.
Reflect
Is there something you need to ask Jesus to forgive tonight?
You don't have to say it aloud. Simply bring it honestly before Him.
Pray
Jesus, thank You for Your blood. We confess our sins to You and receive Your forgiveness. Wash us clean and help us walk closely with You. Amen.
Receive
Take the bread and remember His body.
Take the cup and remember His blood.
We are forgiven because of Jesus.
DAY 4 — THE TABLE OF GRACE
Scripture
Ephesians 2:8–9
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith... not by works.”
Thought
We don't come to this table because we have been good enough.
We come because Jesus is good.
Grace means we receive something we could never earn.
You don't have to impress Jesus tonight. You don't have to clean yourself up before coming near.
Come honestly.
Come humbly.
Come because He has invited you.
Reflect
Have you been trying to earn God's love?
What would it look like simply to receive His grace tonight?
Pray
Jesus, thank You that Your love is not something we have to earn. We receive Your grace again tonight. Amen.
Receive
As you receive the bread and cup, remember:
We don't earn a place at His table. Jesus made a place for us.
DAY 5 — NOTHING HIDDEN
Scripture
Psalm 139:23–24
“Search me, God, and know my heart... See if there is any offensive way in me.”
Thought
Homes can become places where we learn to hide.
We hide hurt. We hide anger. We hide sin. We hide things we're embarrassed about.
But Jesus invites us into the light.
Tonight we can pray a courageous prayer:
Search me.
We don't need to be afraid of what He finds. The One searching our hearts is the same One who gave Himself to save us.
Reflect
Ask the Holy Spirit: Is there anything in my heart I have been hiding?
This is a beautiful time to practice bringing those hidden places to light and giving them to Jesus.
Pray
Jesus, search our hearts. Bring what is hidden into Your light. Forgive us, change us, and make this home a place of honesty and grace. Amen.
Receive
Take the bread and cup together.
Jesus, there is nothing we want to hide from You.
DAY 6 — CONFESS & BE CLEANSED
Scripture
1 John 1:9
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us.”
Thought
Confession isn't something we need to fear.
It's coming into agreement with God and saying, “Jesus, I was wrong.”
And look at what meets us there:
Faithfulness.
Forgiveness.
Cleansing.
We want our home to be a place where saying “I was wrong” is normal—and where forgiveness is never far away.
Reflect
Is there anything you need to confess to Jesus?
Is there anything you need to confess to someone in this family?
Pray
Jesus, we confess our sins to You. Thank You for being faithful to forgive us and make us clean. Give us humble hearts that are quick to repent. Amen.
Receive
Receive communion together.
His body. His blood. His forgiveness.
DAY 7 — FORGIVEN
Scripture
Colossians 2:13–14
“You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.”
Thought
Jesus didn't forgive only the easy parts of your story.
At the cross, He dealt with all of it.
The things you regret. The words you wish you could take back. The things nobody else knows.
When we repent and come to Jesus, we don't have to keep carrying what He has forgiven.
Reflect
Are you still carrying shame over something Jesus has forgiven?
Can you give that shame to Him tonight?
Pray
Jesus, thank You that the cross is enough. Help us receive Your forgiveness and stop carrying what You have already taken away. Amen.
Receive
Take the bread and cup.
Because of Jesus, forgiveness has the final word.
DAY 8 — FORGIVE ONE ANOTHER
Scripture
Colossians 3:13
“Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”
Thought
Receiving forgiveness changes how we treat each other.
We can't stand at the cross celebrating how much Jesus has forgiven us while refusing to forgive the people around our own table.
Families hurt one another sometimes.
But families can also become places where forgiveness is practiced again and again.
Reflect
Is there someone you are angry with?
Is there someone at this table you need to forgive?
Is there someone whose forgiveness you need to ask for?
Pray
Jesus, because You have forgiven us, help us forgive one another. Remove bitterness from our home and make us quick to apologize and quick to forgive. Amen.
Receive
Before communion, make things right where you can.
Then receive the bread and cup together.
We have been forgiven. We choose to forgive.
DAY 9 — MAKE IT RIGHT
Scripture
Matthew 5:23–24
“So if you are presenting a sacrifice. at the altar in the Temple and you suddenly remember that someone has something against you, leave your sacrifice there at the altar. Go and be reconciled to that person. Then come and offer your sacrifice to God.”
Thought
Jesus cares about our relationships.
Sometimes worship looks like singing.
Sometimes worship looks like walking across the room and saying:
“I'm sorry.”
Don't rush past this tonight.
If something has been sitting between people in your home, give Jesus permission to heal it.
Reflect
Have I hurt someone in this family with my words or actions?
Do I need to apologize without making excuses?
Pray
Jesus, give us humble hearts. Show us where we have hurt one another and give us courage to make things right. Bring peace into our relationships. Amen.
Receive
Receive communion after giving everyone an opportunity to reconcile.
Jesus, let Your cross shape the way we love one another.
DAY 10 — A CLEAN HEART
Scripture
Psalm 51:10
“Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”
Thought
David didn't simply ask God to change his circumstances.
He asked God to change him.
That's our prayer tonight.
Not, “Jesus, fix everybody else.”
But:
Jesus, change my heart.
Reflect
What attitude in your heart needs to change?
Anger? Pride? Jealousy? Selfishness? Fear?
Ask Jesus to create something new in you.
Pray
Jesus, create clean hearts in us. Change the things inside us that don't look like You. Make us more like You. Amen.
Receive
Take the bread and cup.
Jesus, make our hearts Your home.
DAY 11 — THE LAMB OF GOD
Scripture
John 1:29
“Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”
Thought
From the beginning, sin brought separation.
But Jesus came to take our sin away.
John saw Him and declared:
There He is. The Lamb of God.
Tonight we look to the same Jesus.
Not to ourselves.
Not to our goodness.
Not to our ability to fix ourselves.
To Jesus.
Reflect
What have you been trying to fix in your own strength?
Can you surrender it to Jesus tonight?
Pray
Jesus, Lamb of God, thank You for taking away our sin. We put our trust in You again tonight. Amen.
Receive
Take the bread and cup with gratitude.
Behold the Lamb of God.
DAY 12 — BY HIS WOUNDS
Scripture
Isaiah 53:4–5
“Yet it was our weaknesses he carried;
it was our sorrows that weighed him down.
And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God,
a punishment for his own sins!
But he was pierced for our rebellion,
crushed for our sins.
He was beaten so we could be whole.
He was whipped so we could be healed.”
Thought
Jesus entered our suffering.
The cross tells us that God is not distant from our pain.
Tonight, bring Him the places that hurt.
You don't have to have the right words.
You can simply say:
“Jesus, this hurts. Meet me here.”
Reflect
Is anyone carrying something painful tonight?
Give everyone permission to share—or simply be quiet.
Pray
Jesus, You know our pain. Meet us in the places that hurt. Bring Your comfort, healing, and peace into our home. Amen.
Receive
Receive communion slowly tonight.
Jesus, You gave Yourself for us. We bring our pain to You.
DAY 13 — IT IS FINISHED
Scripture
John 19:30
“When he had received the drink, Jesus said, ‘It is finished.’”
Thought
Jesus didn't say, “It has begun.”
He said:
It is finished.
The price was paid.
We don't add anything to the cross.
Tonight we rest in what Jesus has already accomplished.
Reflect
Where are you striving?
What burden are you carrying as though everything depends on you?
Pray
Jesus, thank You for finishing the work of the cross. Teach us to trust what You have done instead of trying to save ourselves. Amen.
Receive
Take the bread.
Take the cup.
Then simply say together:
It is finished.
DAY 14 — THE NEW COVENANT
Scripture
Luke 22:20
“This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.”
Thought
The cup reminds us that Jesus has brought us into a new covenant with God.
We belong to Him.
Our relationship with Him rests on His faithfulness—not ours.
Tonight, remember:
You are His.
Reflect
What does it mean to belong to Jesus?
Where do you need to trust His faithfulness?
Pray
Jesus, thank You for bringing us near. Our lives belong to You. Help our family live as people who are Yours. Amen.
Receive
Take the bread and cup.
Jesus, we belong to You.
DAY 15 — NO CONDEMNATION
Scripture
Romans 8:1
“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
Thought
Conviction draws us toward Jesus.
Condemnation tells us to run away and hide.
Because of Jesus, repentance doesn't end in shame. It ends in restoration.
When we confess our sin, we can get back up and walk with Him.
Reflect
Is shame making you want to hide from Jesus?
What would it look like to run toward Him instead?
Pray
Jesus, thank You that there is no condemnation for those who belong to You. Help us repent quickly and then walk freely in Your grace. Amen.
Receive
Receive communion.
We don't hide from Jesus. We run to Him.
DAY 16 — CHILDREN AT HIS TABLE
Scripture
Mark 10:13–16
One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so he could touch and bless them. But the disciples scolded the parents for bothering him.
When Jesus saw what was happening, he was angry with his disciples. He said to them, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children. I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.” Then he took the children in his arms and placed his hands on their heads and blessed them.”
Thought
When people brought children to Jesus, He didn't push them away.
He welcomed them.
Children aren't waiting to become important to Jesus when they grow up.
They matter to Him right now.
Tonight, remind every child around your table:
Jesus sees you. Jesus welcomes you. Jesus loves you.
Reflect
Ask the children: What would you want to say to Jesus if He were sitting at this table?
Adults, listen.
Pray
Jesus, thank You for welcoming children. Let the children in this home know Your voice, Your love, and Your presence from their earliest days. Amen.
Receive
Receive communion together.
There is room for you near Jesus.
DAY 17 — JESUS IN OUR HOME
Scripture
Luke 19:5–6
When Jesus came by, he looked up at Zacchaeus and called him by name. “Zacchaeus!” he said. “Quick, come down! I must be a guest in your home today.”
Zacchaeus quickly climbed down and took Jesus to his house in great excitement and joy.
Thought
Throughout the Gospels, many of Jesus’ most intimate encounters happened in homes.
He shared meals. He brought healing. He received worship. He taught, forgave, restored, and sat with people in the middle of ordinary life.
When Jesus saw Zacchaeus, He said, “I must stay at your house today.”
Jesus wasn't only found in temples or crowds. He stepped into homes—and when He did, lives changed.
That's our desire too.
We don't want Jesus to be Someone our children only encounter somewhere else.
Jesus, You are welcome here.
Reflect
What would it look like to welcome Jesus into every part of our life at home?
Is there anything we need to surrender to Him?
Pray
Jesus, You are welcome here. Meet us in the ordinary places of our lives. Let this home be filled with Your presence, forgiveness, healing, and worship. Amen.
Receive
Take the bread and cup.
Jesus, make Yourself at home among us.
DAY 18 — ABIDE IN ME
Scripture
John 15:4
“Remain in me, as I also remain in you.”
Thought
Jesus doesn't want occasional visits.
He invites us to abide.
To remain.
To live our everyday lives connected to Him.
Communion reminds us that following Jesus isn't one moment. It is a life lived near Him.
Reflect
What helps you stay close to Jesus?
What tends to pull you away?
Pray
Jesus, teach us to abide in You. Let Your presence become part of the everyday rhythm of this home. Amen.
Receive
Receive the bread and cup.
Jesus, we choose to remain near You.
DAY 19 — DRAW NEAR
Scripture
James 4:8
“Come near to God and he will come near to you.”
Thought
You don't need a stage, a microphone, or a church building to draw near to God.
You can draw near right here.
At this table.
Tonight, slow down.
Don't rush to the next thing.
Turn your attention toward Jesus and welcome His presence.
Reflect
Spend a quiet minute together.
Just turn your attention toward Jesus.
Seek to see His face and ask Him to reveal Himself to you.
Pray
Jesus, we draw near to You. Quiet our hearts and make us aware of Your presence with us. Amen.
Receive
Receive communion.
Jesus, here we are. You have us.
DAY 20 — GIVE US THIS DAY
Scripture
Matthew 6:11
“Give us today our daily bread.”
Thought
Every meal reminds us:
We depend on God.
The food on our table, the breath in our lungs, the strength for today—everything is a gift.
Jesus teaches us not to carry tomorrow today.
Ask Him for today's bread. Today's grace. Today's strength.
Reflect
What do you need from God today?
What are you worrying about tomorrow?
Pray
Father, thank You for providing for us. Give us what we need for today and teach us to trust You with tomorrow. Amen.
Receive
Receive communion.
Jesus, You are enough for today.
DAY 21 — THE BREAD OF LIFE
Scripture
John 6:35
“I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry.”
Thought
There are hungers that food cannot satisfy.
We hunger to be known. Loved. Safe. Whole.
Jesus says: Come to Me.
He is the Bread of Life, the only One who can truly satisfy our deepest longings.
And the more we know Him, the more we hunger for Him.
Not just for what He gives, but for who He is.
Jesus, make us hungry for You.
Reflect
Are you hungry for more of Jesus, or have other things been filling your heart?
Ask Jesus to deepen your desire to know Him and be near Him.
Pray
Jesus, You are the Bread of Life. Satisfy the deepest places in us and teach us to look to You first. Amen.
Receive
Take the bread and remember:
Jesus is the Bread of Life.
Receive the cup with thanksgiving.
DAY 22 — ONE BODY
Scripture
1 Corinthians 10:16–17
“When we bless the cup at the Lord’s Table, aren’t we sharing in the blood of Christ? And when we break the bread, aren’t we sharing in the body of Christ? And though we are many, we all eat from one loaf of bread, showing that we are one body.”
Thought
Communion reminds us that we belong to Jesus and that we are united as His Church.
Though we gather in different homes and places around the world, we are all part of one body—the Body of Christ.
We are united not by how alike we are, but by His sacrifice.
And as one body, we are called to love, serve, encourage, and carry one another.
One bread. One body. One Jesus.
Reflect
How can our family help strengthen and encourage the Church?
Who in the Body of Christ can we pray for or serve this week?
Pray
Jesus, thank You for giving us one another. Protect the unity of our family and the Church and teach us to love each other well. Amen.
Receive
Break the bread together.
Though we are many, we belong to Christ.
Receive the cup.
DAY 23 — LOVE ONE ANOTHER
Scripture
John 13:34–35
“So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”
Thought
Jesus said people would recognize His disciples by their love.
That begins at home.
It's easy to appear loving in public while being impatient with the people who know us best.
Tonight we ask Jesus to make our home a place where His love can actually be seen.
Reflect
Have I been loving toward the people in this home?
Who needs more patience, kindness, or attention from me?
Pray
Jesus, teach us to love one another the way You have loved us. Let Your love be visible in this home. Amen.
Receive
Receive communion together.
Jesus loved us first. Now teach us to love.
DAY 24 — SERVE ONE ANOTHER
Scripture
John 13:14–15
“And since I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other’s feet. I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you.”
Thought
The King of Kings washed feet.
Jesus showed us that greatness looks like serving.
Imagine a home where everyone asks:
“How can I serve you?”
Not because we're keeping score.
Because Jesus served us first.
Reflect
How could you serve someone in this family tomorrow?
Let everyone choose one simple thing.
Pray
Jesus, give us servant hearts. Help us notice the needs around us and joyfully care for one another. Amen.
Receive
Receive the bread and cup.
Jesus gave Himself for us. Teach us to give ourselves for one another.
DAY 25 — GIVE THANKS
Scripture
Luke 22:19
“He took bread, gave thanks and broke it.”
Thought
On the night before the cross, Jesus gave thanks.
Tonight we do the same.
Before asking for anything, let's remember what God has already done.
Reflect
Go around the table.
Everyone name one thing you're thankful to Jesus for today.
Don't rush.
Pray
Jesus, thank You. For Your cross. Your forgiveness. Your provision. This family. This home. And every gift we so easily overlook. We are grateful. Amen.
The Table
Receive communion with joy tonight.
Thank You for Your body.
Thank You for Your blood.
Thank You, Jesus.
DAY 26 — PEACE AT THE TABLE
Scripture
John 14:27
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.”
Thought
Homes can become anxious places.
Bills. Schedules. Work. School. Decisions. Conflict.
But Jesus offers something the world cannot manufacture:
His peace.
Tonight we invite His peace into the places where anxiety has been living.
Reflect
What has been making you worried lately?
Say it aloud if you want to.
Then give it to Jesus.
Pray
Jesus, let Your peace fill this home. We give You our worries and receive Your peace. Guard our hearts and minds tonight. Amen.
Receive
Receive communion.
Jesus, Your peace is welcome here.
DAY 27 — REMEMBER WHAT HE HAS DONE
Scripture
Psalm 103:1–5
“Let all that I am praise the Lord;
with my whole heart, I will praise His holy name.
Let all that I am praise the Lord;
may I never forget the good things he does for me.
He forgives all my sins
and heals all my diseases.
He redeems me from death
and crowns me with love and tender mercies.
He fills my life with good things.
My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!”
Thought
Sometimes we need to remember our family's history with God.
The prayers He answered. The doors He opened.
The times He provided. The moments He carried us.
Tonight, tell the stories. Our children need to hear them.
Reflect
Parents, tell your children about a time God was faithful to your family.
Then ask:
What have we seen God do recently?
Pray
Jesus, help us never forget Your faithfulness. May the stories of what You have done be told again and again in this home. Amen.
Receive
Receive the bread and cup.
Jesus, we remember what You have done.
DAY 28 — JESUS IS HERE
Scripture
Matthew 18:20
“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
Thought
Look around your table. This may feel ordinary.
Crumbs on the floor. Dishes in the sink. Children moving around. Phones buzzing. Tomorrow's responsibilities waiting.
But ordinary places can become sacred places when our attention turns toward Jesus.
We gather in His name tonight.
Reflect
What changes when we remember that Jesus is with us in ordinary moments?
Take a moment simply to acknowledge Him.
Pray
Jesus, thank You for meeting us in ordinary places. Open our eyes to recognize Your presence in our everyday lives. Amen.
Receive
Receive communion together.
Jesus, we welcome You into the ordinary.
DAY 29 — OUR HOME BELONGS TO HIM
Scripture
Joshua 24:15
“As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”
Thought
Every home serves something.
Comfort. Success. Money. Entertainment. Schedules. Ourselves.
Tonight we make a declaration:
This home belongs to Jesus.
That doesn't mean this home will be perfect.
It means that when we fail, we return to Jesus.
When we're hurting, we turn to Jesus.
When we're celebrating, we thank Jesus.
When we don't know what to do, we seek Jesus.
Reflect
Is anything competing with Jesus for the center of our home?
What could we change to make more room for Him?
Pray
Jesus, this home belongs to You. Let everything that happens here honor You. As for us and our house, we will serve the Lord. Amen.
Receive
Receive communion together.
Jesus, be the center of this home.
DAY 30 — KEEP THE TABLE OPEN
Scripture
Acts 2:42, 46
All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper) and to prayer... They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity
Thought
The early followers of Jesus gathered, prayed, ate together, and broke bread in their homes.
Their homes became places where faith was lived.
Tomorrow is Day 31.
But this was never really about finishing a guide.
We want something to remain after these pages are closed:
A table that stays open to Jesus.
Reflect
What has Jesus done in our family during these 30 days?
What would it look like to continue communion together after this guide ends?
Pray
Jesus, thank You for meeting us around this table. Don't let this simply become something we completed. Let seeking You together become part of who our family is. Amen.
Receive
Receive communion.
Jesus, this table remains open to You.
DAY 31 — UNTIL HE COMES
Scripture
1 Corinthians 11:26
“For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.”
Thought
For 31 days, we have returned to the bread and the cup.
We have remembered His body. His blood. His forgiveness.
We have repented. We have forgiven. We have prayed.
We have talked. We have listened.
And hopefully, somewhere along the way, something has changed about this table.
But tonight isn't the finish line.
Every time we receive communion, we look backward to the cross—and forward to the day Jesus returns.
Until He comes.
So keep gathering. Keep repenting. Keep forgiving.
Keep telling your children what Jesus has done.
Keep opening your home to His presence.
Keep putting Jesus at the center.
Years from now, your children may not remember every conversation that happened around this table.
But may something be tethered deep within their hearts:
Jesus was here.
We met with Him here.
Our home belonged to Him.
Reflect
Ask everyone:
What has Jesus shown you during these 31 days?
What do you want to continue as a family?
Then take a moment and ask Jesus if there is anything that needs to be confessed, forgiven, or surrendered before receiving communion.
Pray
Jesus, thank You for meeting us here.
Thank You for Your body.
Thank You for Your blood.
Thank You for the cross.
Thank You for forgiveness.
Thank You for this family.
Make our home a dwelling place for Your presence. Let our children grow up knowing that they never have to hide from You, but can always run toward You.
Keep our hearts tender.
Keep our table open.
Keep us near You.
Until You come.
Amen.
Receive
Take the bread together.
His body, given for us.
Take the cup together.
His blood, poured out for us.
Then say together:
Jesus, You are the center of our home.
Until You come.
