“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” — Jeremiah 29:11
There is something beautiful about watching our children grow, knowing that the God who created them already sees every day ahead.
As parents, we carry so many hopes and prayers for their futures. We wonder who they will become, where their little feet will go, and what God might call them to do.
But perhaps one of the greatest gifts we can give our children is the reminder that their future is not something they have to figure out on their own.
Jeremiah 29:11 was spoken to God's people in a season of waiting and uncertainty. His promise wasn't that they would never face difficulty, but that He had not forgotten them. His purposes were still good, even when their circumstances were hard.
And what a beautiful truth to plant in the hearts of our children.
Good things ahead doesn't mean every road will be easy or every dream will unfold exactly as we imagine. It means we can walk forward with hope because we serve a God who is faithful.
Our prayer is that our children would grow up trusting His heart, following His voice, and knowing that wherever life takes them, they can place their future in His hands.
The future is unknown to us, but never to Him.
May this piece be a little reminder to look ahead with hope, walk by faith, and trust the One who holds tomorrow.
