“There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are they for so many?” — John 6:9
Sometimes the smallest things carry the greatest reminders of God's faithfulness.
In John 6, we read about a little boy who had five loaves and two fish. It wasn't much compared to the thousands of hungry people gathered around Jesus.
But what seemed small in the hands of a child became more than enough in the hands of the Savior.
And what a beautiful truth to plant in the hearts of our children.
Little is much when we place it in the hands of Jesus.
The world may tell our children that they need to be bigger, stronger, louder, or more accomplished to make a difference. But Scripture shows us a God who delights in working through ordinary people and seemingly small acts of faith.
A little kindness. A simple prayer. A willing heart. An act of obedience when no one else is watching.
These things may seem small, but they are never insignificant to God.
As parents, our prayer is that our children would grow up knowing they don't have to wait until they're older to be used by Him. They can love Him, serve Him, and reflect His goodness right where they are.
May this piece remind little hearts that God is not limited by their size, their age, or what they have to offer.
What matters is a heart willing to place it all in His hands.
